Employment Services

The purposes of employment services are to strike a balance between labor supply and demand, allowing employers to recruit the right people on the right jobs, and helping job seekers to find appropriate employment. The government also provides short-term employment opportunities and promotes localized industries to assist the unemployed to find jobs. In addition, categorized services, employment counseling, training transfers are provided, and employment services are further strengthened with the use of the e-job website. Through the integration of both public and private sectors’ resources on vocational training organizations, employment service organizations, and human resources websites, BEVT is able to remain at the cutting edge of the employment markets, collaborating with private sectors in providing approachable employment services.

1.Assist the private sector in developing localized industries, and further create employment opportunities.
2.Promote short-term employment training and special employment training in areas undergoing reconstruction.
3.Conduct overall planning of job placement and subsidy program for the involuntary unemployed and specified types of recipients.
4.Help aborigine-run labor cooperatives set up advisory bodies for operational management and establishment of marketing channels.
5.Promote vocational aptitude tests; set up evaluation system for employment counseling services; conduct specialist training.
6.Standardize employment service process; actively promote and supervise employment services and the lay-off notification system.
7.Supervise municipalities, cities and counties in conducing employment services and dealing with discrimination issues to ensure equality in employemnt.
8.Establish automoted customer-service system to provide 24-hour employment services.
9.Integrate public and private employment-service organizations; establish an evaluation system to grade employment services.
