Welcome foreign professional managers and high-tech talents to Taiwan

The Council never sets limitations or exclusionary bars on foreign high-tech talents or high-level managers demanded by relevant industries, in order to enhance company’s competitiveness and promote continuous economic development, and even sends staff to explain relevant regulations and invite professional talents, who can provide profuse professional knowledge and skills and assist in promoting the technical level of domestic industries, to Taiwan in concert with overseas talent hunting hosted by relevant ministers. 

Some developed countries used to set some qualification limits in working permits of foreigner white-collar employees to prevent blue-collar workers from pretending as professionals. Compared to those countries, the Council does not put any stricter limits on foreign professionals working in Taiwan, and designed some flexible business help mechanisms; therefore, foreign high-level managers and high-tech talents may not be blocked by qualifications. The Council expects to help enterprises to introduce distinguished foreign workers under the rational system, assisting to promote domestic industrial technologies and further to improve competitiveness, and welcomes those foreign high-level mangers and high-tech workers to Taiwan. Some critics of the Council ignoring the issue of hollowing-out of talents and proclaiming sufficiency of demanded talents appear to not suit the facts.
