| The Council has adopted the Nationwide 233 Project for Disaster Mitigation in Working Place and is conducting the Walking Around the Country Occupational Disaster Prevention Exhibition which coordinates with activities held by the Kaohsiung City Government and affiliated enterprises during the period of Nov. 6th to 10th to hold health and safety exhibitions, family exploration and visitation of model working places. In the afternoon of Nov. 10th, the national circuit exhibition, 3D animation show and exploration will be demonstrated in the front plaza of the Kaohsiung City Concert Hall, where acting mayor Yeh of Kaohsiung and Minister Lee have been invited to host the opening ceremony. In addition, the Council has arranged a demonstration and exhibition of restaurant disaster prevention, gymnastics and cuisine show, followed by a welcoming ceremony for the 9th National Competition of Physically and Mentally Challenged, including performances provided by the Kaohsiung City Association for Disabled and the Star Prince Percussion Band. On the same day, the symposium for management systems in enterprise and a dynamic demonstration for industrial health and safety will meet face to face with health and safety management employees, as an active measure associated with the Nationwide 233 Project for Disaster Mitigation in the Work Place. On Nov. 6th to 9th, the Walking Around the Country Occupational Disaster Prevention Exhibition was held at the Kaohsiung Refinery CPC, on Nov. 7th the occupational safety meeting was conducted at the Labor Bureau, Kaohsiung City Government, and a demonstration factory of improved manufacturing was exhibited at the ShengYu Steel Co. Ltd. In the circuit exhibition vehicle for occupational health and safety, there are real objects and models of different subjects, multimedia simulations and virtual reality. There will also be active experience events, such as frame construction, mask fitting test, measure of grounding resister, and fitness testing, as well as exhibitions, including helmet, tripod anchor connectors, innovative ventilation, noise auto-control, blood pressure and body fat testing. The professional guide, gatefold, brochure, and CD of research from the Institute of Occupational Health and Safety are provided on site, to improve cognition of labor and people in general on health and safety, in the hope of eliminating occupational disasters, and rooting occupational safety through promotion of relevant knowledge. |
