Amendments were made to the " Enforcement Rules of Employment Service Law," which now include a provision for foreign nationals who are widowed due to the death of a Taiwanese spouse or were previously married to a registered Taiwanese citizen. This provision applies to those who have factual custodian responsibilities for minor children, exercise or bear parental rights and obligations, or have visitation arrangements. Upon approval by the competent immigration authorities, the foreign national will be included under the conditions specified in Article 48, Paragraph 1, Subparagraph 2 of the Employment Service Act.
