In 2024, a delegation of US labor union leaders, headed by Steve Sleigh, past president of the Labor and Employment Relations Association (LERA), visited the Ministry of Labor. The delegation, comprising representatives from the International Brotherhood of Teamsters (IBT), the National Education Association (NEA), the DC Chapter of the Labor and Employment Relations Association (DC LERA), and the American Federation of Government Employees (AFGE) Local 12, engaged in discussions and exchanges on international labor affairs.
