The Ministry and Katholieke Universiteit Leuven (KU Leuven) organized the first virtual Labor Policy Conference. The opening speech was delivered by Peter LIEVENS, Vice-Rector of International Policy, Ambassador Tsai Ming-Yen of the Taipei Representative Office in the EU and Belgium, and Wang Shang-Chih, Deputy Minister, Ministry of Labor. The meeting shared and discussed issues such as the protection of labor rights of workers in the platform economy, the impact of climate and circular economy transformation on employment and skills, and the use of administrative data by Taiwan and Belgium to analyze labor market manpower trends. Both sides also agreed to continue joint research on labor policy related issues in the future.
