Q9. Who may report an occupational injury or illness? How to submit a report?
- Last updated:2022-06-14
In addition to an occupational medicine physician, an employer, a medical institution or any other person with knowledge of any worker suffering from an occupational injury or illness and the suffering worker himself/herself may submit a report of the occupational injury or illness. Such a report must include the name and personal ID number of the worker suffering from an occupational injury or illness, a description of the injury or illness, contact information and the information of the reporting person, and must be registered in the occupational injury/illness reporting system announced by the Ministry of Labor. Upon receiving a report, the Ministry of Labor will consolidate the reported information regarding an occupational injury or illness and make a timely referral to a medical institution through the Center for Occupational Accident Prevention and Rehabilitation to provide necessary services and support measures to the worker concerned.
