Q16. What subsidies for care services can an insured person suffering from an occupational accident apply for? What are the criteria for such subsidies?

Any insured person suffering from an occupational accident may apply for the following subsidies:

  1. Regarding the subsidies for care services during the period of inpatient treatment, a daily amount of NT$1,200 of subsidies for care services will be paid from the date when the insured person may claim benefits for occupational injuries or illnesses until he/she is discharged after the start of inpatient treatment.
  2. Where the level of disability of an insured person disabled due to an occupational injury or illness who claims the benefits for disability under the occupational accident insurance constitutes a level-1 or level-2 disability defined by the attachment to Article 3 of the Labor Insurance Disability Benefit Payment Standards, and where his/her state of disability includes permanent inability to work, a monthly amount of NT$13,083 will be paid for a period no longer than five years.
